Helicopter Twirls Uncontrollably into Palm Fronds at Frequented California Shoreline
A helicopter soaring over a popular southern California beach unexpectedly commenced twirling wildly, finally losing altitude and crashing into a row of palm fronds as spectators looked on.
Footage shared on the internet depict the chopper commencing to spiral over the shoreline then plunging near the border of the shore, where it ends up lodged among palm groves and a set of stairs close to the shoreline route.
Rescue Operation Update
The Huntington Beach fire department said five people were rushed to the hospital involving two who were in the chopper and were “extracted safely from the crash site” after the accident on Saturday.
Three persons on the road were hurt. Specifics on their injuries were not yet released.
The cause of the crash was not yet disclosed.

Officials indicated the helicopter was connected to an annual “Cars and Copters” fundraising event planned for Sunday.
